Not Ready To Make Nice

I think I’m going to buy the entire Dixie Chicks discography. I love the song “Not Ready To Make Nice.” The lyrics are very moving.

I can’t wait to watch “Shut Up and Sing.”

The movie from two time Academy Award-winning documentary filmmaker Barbara Kopple and Cecelia Peck that chronicles the lives of the Dixie Chicks from 2003 to the start of their 2006 tour.

All the highs, lows and mayhem that occurred just before and for the three years following “the incident” are all here.

The personal attacks, personal growth, a changing world, making music, having babies, receiving death threats, and even a fair amount of laughter.

Shut Up & Sing will open October 27 in New York City and Los Angeles and will open in additional cities beginning November 10.

Google (Music) Videos

Google announced today that they are going to provide music videos on Google Video. I may have Comcast stone-tablet-basic-edition but I can now watch music videos.

I quickly watched/listened to John Mayer’s “Waiting On The World To Change.

John Mayer – Waiting On The World To Change

me and all my friends
we’re all misunderstood
they say we stand for nothing and
there’s no way we ever could
now we see everything that’s going wrong
with the world and those who lead it
we just feel like we don’t have the means
to rise above and beat it

so we keep waiting
waiting on the world to change
we keep on waiting
waiting on the world to change

it’s hard to beat the system
when we’re standing at a distance
so we keep waiting
waiting on the world to change
now if we had the power
to bring our neighbors home from war
they would have never missed a Christmas
no more ribbons on their door
and when you trust your television
what you get is what you got
cause when they own the information, oh
they can bend it all they want

that’s why we’re waiting
waiting on the world to change
we keep on waiting
waiting on the world to change

it’s not that we don’t care,
we just know that the fight ain’t fair
so we keep on waiting
waiting on the world to change

and we’re still waiting
waiting on the world to change
we keep on waiting waiting on the world to change
one day our generation
is gonna rule the population
so we keep on waiting
waiting on the world to change

we keep on waiting
waiting on the world to change

Oh, and Google bought YouTube. I think Google owns everything except our souls…

Infatuated with Pandora

Today’s theme is music. Let me introduce everyone to Pandora. It’s an online music player/service that let’s you create streaming stations (playlists) based on your musical preferences. I love it! Pandora enables its users to share their custom stations as well as their user profiles.

My Pandora profile is a window to my soul.
