Blogs and Student Learning - Presentation Evaluation

Blogs and Student Learning: Making Meaning and Connections through Graduate Student Portfolios:
Participants are invited to engage in dialogue about the use of blogs (web logs) as a unique student learning experience. Presenters will briefly discuss the phenomenon of blogs and then share examples of student blogs created as the capstone experience within Oregon State University’s student affairs master’s program. Presenters will facilitate conversation around the challenges and opportunities in using blogs and ways in which student affairs professionals may utilize blogs beyond the classroom to serve students better.

The presentation at the NASPA regional conference was wonderful! As a faculty member in a higher ed leadership program, I see tremendous potential using blogs — to help students develop their learning in a virtual community& to create conversations related to my research interests. I’m intrigued by the possibilities! We can create communities in new & exciting ways, providing opportunities to connect across traditional (perceived) boundaries. drdelo
