Firefox 3 – Download Day

Download Day 2008

Download Day is Mozilla’s attempt to set a world record for the most software downloads in 24 hours and will occur on Firefox 3′s launch day occurring sometime in June.

via Crouch Consulting (I can’t believe I’m giving Crouch link juice ;-) )

If 5 million people download Firefox 3 on Download Day, Mike Morgan will give every Corvallis resident a free iPhone. That’s the completely fabricated rumor…

  1. Heh. Of course, being the geeky Linux user type that I am, I’ve been running the Firefox 3 beta for months now.

  4. I keep asking my students to douse my Dell with coffee ;-)
It takes forever to boot up…it’s like computing in 1995.

  5. Even while designing for the Technology Department within the University Libraries’ Administration I had to plead my case to get a better than average Dell. I don’t even want to know what departmental advisors deal with! :-)
