					<description>I feel your pain.  I have an entire kitchen in said "old Ikea beech" - bought from the Seattle store over 10 years ago.  Two of the cabinet panels have been discolored due to water damage and I can't replace them.  Unfortunately, the panels are very visible (the sides of an island). 

Also - I do believe that beech may darken over time.  It sure seems as these have gotten more "golden" over the years we've had them.</description>
