Field Day was a huge event at Cotter Elementary. Kickball, running events, obstacle courses, etc. The school bussed us in for Field Day at Columbus Elementary every other year. The competition between the country kids and the town kids was fierce!

When I was in elementary school, once a year in the spring, all the students from Conesville, Junction and Cotter would have "Field Day" in that big grass field. All kinds of races, softball throwing, and I can't remember what else. It was always very competitive, with the teams from Conesville usually doing quite well.

Did they still do that when you were there?
