The web site statistics for my presence in bloglandia have increased quite a bit since January 2007. Prior to September 2006 I was primarily blogging at my Oregon State University web account. I transitioned the OSU account over to ericstoller.com in September. Web statistics for September 2006 to January 2007 were fairly consistent: 2,000+ Unique Visits and about 4,000 Page Views.
Corvallis housing market

Wendy and I are ready to move out of our current apartment. Unfortunately, we can’t afford to look at houses in Corvallis. The prices are too spendy for us at the moment. Please consider this post a plea for any information regarding the whereabouts of a decent, not too expensive Corvallis apartment.
Higher Education Administration
My blog gets a lot of visits from people who are searching the web for information on student affairs higher education administration graduate programs. I get an email every couple of months asking me for my opinion on programs like Oregon State University’s College Student Services Administration EdM degree program.

New job
Hooray! I have a new job. Starting on June 14th, I will be the new Academic Advisor for OSU’s College of Health and Human Sciences.
- Job Searching = Countless hours of searching, writing, calling, meeting, etc.
- Interviews = 5
- Resumes/Cover Letters = A lot
- Finding a position where you get to connect with students and work with a great staff = priceless!
Racism bothers me too
I’ve been reading a lot of news reports about a racist party in Delaware. On May 5th, several members of the Phi Sigma Pi honors fraternity at the University of Delaware held a racist party in which white students dressed up as stereotypes of Latinos.
The “South of the Border” party held on Cinco de Mayo featured white students with racial epithets on their shirts.
Birthday
They say it’s your birthday. Da na na nah na na nah….well, almost.
Tomorrow is my birthday! Woohoo!
I’m sorry my blog has been so quiet lately. Consulting has me rather jammed at the moment.
Lastly, tomorrow is my birthday. I will be wearing my new grey suit and interviewing for a job with an office. Wish me luck! I’m ready to be around people during the day….
Oh and one last thing…if you know how old I’m going to be, please do not include my age in any comments. I’d rather keep my birth-year a secret from the identity collectors. Thanks.
