Sometimes I wonder if it's possible to have an Enrollment Management unit that is framed around a social justice paradigm. The competitiveness of the field can make it extremely easy to push traditionally marginalized students even further out on the margins.</description>

As you well know by your brief stint with us, the need to spend $$$ to 'court' prospective students will never go away.....unless your school has a high profile name (see:  Stanford).  They key is finding the right venues/channels, timing, and messages that will get the student to pay attention enough to seek out more information, make a visit, etc.  Working at a public institution forever being sqeezed to do more with less makes being targeted and efficient a must.

Thus, why I have a job...
